Current singers in the New Zealand Youth Choir can presently apply for 2 scholarship funds at the beginning of the calendar year.

Prof. Peter Godfrey Scholarship

This scholarship has been made available through generous donations made by the Peter Godfrey Scholarship Committee.

Eligibility
Current NZ Youth Choir Members.

Criteria
The recipient will be a member of the New Zealand Youth Choir with a special interest in organ performance, choral conducting or general musicianship related to choral performance. The award will be made to an NZYC member who has difficulty meeting the financial requirements of choir membership (evidence of hardship may be required) or for special training in respect of their area of study.

Scholarship
The Choirs Aotearoa NZ Foundation is offering scholarships up to the full annual NZYC membership fee. The level of the scholarship and number of recipients is entirely at the discretion of the Trust’s Artistic Advisory Group (AAG).

The recipients will be selected by members of AAG and will be confirmed by the Chief Executive in February 2023. The AAG’s decision will be final.

BEN CAMPBELL MEMORIAL FUND

This scholarship has been made available though generous donations made to the Ben Campbell Memorial Fund in memory of Ben Campbell. Ben was a member of New Zealand Youth Choir and Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir.

Eligibility
Current NZ Youth Choir Members.

The recipient will be a member of the New Zealand Youth Choir who has difficulty meeting the financial requirements of choir membership (evidence of hardship may be required).

Scholarship
The Choirs Aotearoa NZ Foundation is offering scholarships up to the full annual NZYC membership fee. The level of the scholarship and number of recipients is entirely at the discretion of the Trust’s Artistic Advisory Group (AAG).

The recipients will be selected by members of the AAG and will be confirmed by the Chief Executive in February 2023. The committee’s decision will be final.
