Originally from Guangzhou, China, Cecilia’s passion for choral singing began at a young age. She was part of a children’s choir where she competed and won a gold award at the 5th World Choir Games in Graz, Austria. After moving to the beautiful Auckland city in 2015, she went to Macleans College where she participated in various musical productions and sang in the Chorale. Currently, she is a mezzo-soprano in training, studying a BCom/BMus degree at UoA. Cecilia is also a pianist, dancer, and film lover. She aspires to be an artistic director one day in the future.
